As everybody knows, baby’s skin is very delicate. It needs delicate care with precision. No allowance of mistake is there. A little bit of negligence on your side, cost baby skin too much. To prevent that you need to follow, right steps of skin care of baby. For example, use natural oil to moisturize baby skin. That oil is coconut oil. Same way use very mild soap and shampoo. Baby skin is very tender. It needs tender care from day one. Actually it’s tender care starts immediately after baby is born. Baby skin care includes everything done in right way. Whether it is oiling, clothing, bathing or diaper usage, everything needs to be done in right way. So, here comes a look on each step.

6 Baby Skin Care Steps to keep baby skin Healthy-


1) Use only coconut oil to moisturize-

Baby skin is very delicate. Therefore, the oil which you are going to use, to moisturise baby skin, must be skin friendly. That oil which is best to moisturise baby skin is, coconut oil.

  • Baby skin does not have, fat on its own. You need to supply it, externally through coconut oil. Coconut oil not only moisturise, but it also forms a protective layer over skin. 
  • This layer protects skin of baby from infections. It also protects baby from, hypothermia in winter. 


2) Use very less amount of shampoo and soap-

Skin of baby is very delicate. You cannot use excess amount of shampoo on hairs. Neither you can use soap in excess. The reason being, skin of baby is very soft.

  • Excess amount of soap dry baby skin. It depletes it’s moisture. Similarly, excess amount of shampoo cause dandruff on baby scalp. Baby dandruff is so notorious, which doesn’t go easily. 


3) Make baby wear, only cotton clothes-

Baby skin as said, is very delicate. Therefore, make baby wear skin friendly clothes. Those skin friendly clothes are cotton clothes.

They allow cross ventilation of air. That is the reason that they does not cause rashes on baby skin.

4) Give baby bath according to skin type-

Most of the babies have baby soft skin. But, there are some babies, which have dry skin. Therefore, give baby bath according to their skin type.

  • Temperature of water, to be used for baby bath, should be made according to weather. Baby bath water temperature should be neither to hot nor too cold. 
  • It should be adjusted according to atmospheric temperature.


5) Avoid wearing diapers 24 hours and change them frequently-

Wearing diapers 24 hours block air circulation around baby hip skin. That causes rashes due to constant irritation of skin by over wet diaper. Therefore, change diaper, after it being over wet.

  • But, if your baby has done potty, then change it immediately. Do not weight for diaper being over wet.


6) Use baby powder right way-

First of all, there is no need to use baby powder on baby skin. But, if you are using it, then use it in diaper area. It dry the over wet area there.

  • Do not spray baby powder directly on baby skin. Baby may inhale it accidentally. 
  • To avoid that take powder spray on your hand, away from baby nose and mouth. Use that powder in your hand, to apply on baby diaper area skin.
