Dengue fever a very common disease of monsoon season and of those localities where too much of dirty water remain standing nearby. Dengue fever is caused by dengue virus and it spread through vector of dengue virus which is “Mosquito Aedes Egypti”.


Like other diseases, dengue fever too has its set of diagnostic symptoms, with which you can easily identify dengue fever. The various set of diagnostic symptoms, with help of whom; you can easily identify dengue fever occurring in a patient are-

1.      Dengue fever, as name suggests, fever, is one main symptom which occurs in dengue fever. High fever that is high body temperature is found in dengue.

2.      Along with, fever, there occurs intense pain in body, as if some bone is broken, this is the reason why dengue fever is given name of “breaking bone fever” or “breaking bone disease”.

3.      Symptoms of dengue fever usually begin four to six days after catching infection.

4.      Headache and

5.      Eye pain, are very common symptoms of dengue fever. These symptoms also occur along with fever in dengue.

6.      Another type of dengue fever also known as dengue haemorrhagic fever, in which there occurs sudden fall in platelet count of blood due to which blood starts oozing from body, skin and eyes.
