Dark circles around eyes is problem, from which everybody wants to get rid of. There are many causes of it. Sometimes, they occur due to, over exposure to sunlight. Sometimes, they occur due to aging. Sometimes, they occur due to nutritional deficiency. Sometimes, they occur due to stress. Causes of dark circles around eyes-

Dark circles around eyes are caused by following reasons-
  • Over rubbing eyes
  • Over exposure to sunlight or electronic magnetic waves of computer, mobiles and T.V.
  • Over stress
  • Sleep deprivation 
  • Nutritional deficiency from consumption of unbalanced diet.
  • Aging

1) Avoid rubbing your eyes-

Working on computer, mobiles or watching T.V. for long hours cause burning in eyes. Out of this burning, people do rub eyes. This rubbing of eyes, damage the delicate blood vessels (capillaries) of eyelids. That causes lack of nutrition to eyelids that was earlier received through blood capillaries. That lack of nutrition caused from, damage of blood vessels causes dark discolouration, of skin of eyelids.

2) Rose water swabs for 15 minutes-

Keep rose water swabs on eyes, covering both upper eyelid and lower eyelid for 15 minutes. Rose water is cool by nature. Soothing effect of it, will diminish burning in eyes, which is cause of rubbing eyes. Rose water swab tip, if done once in every week, not only removes dark circles around eyes, it also prevent them.

3) Ice cube treatment for 15 minutes-

Keep ice cubes on each eye for 15 minutes. Do it once in a day, if you use gadgets whole day, or a student or tailor. People from these profession usually have burning in eyes and headache as a problem. Both of the problems gets solved with calming effect of ice cubes. That calming effect prevent rubbing of eyes, which cause dark pigmentation around eyes. Ice cubes prevent itching of eyelids.

4) Tomato-

Tomato got bleaching properties and anti-inflammatory properties. Apply paste of tomato made with turmeric, on dark circles area for 15 minutes. It will heal damaged blood vessels, causing dark circles around eyes. It repair delicate skin of eyelids and remove dark circles on them.

5) Keep cucumber slice for 15 minutes-

Cucumber has soothing effect, just like rosewater has. Keep a thick slice of cucumber on eyes for 15 minutes. It will heal skin of eyelids and dark circles caused out of rubbing. It also treat burning sensation in eyes, which is cause of eye itching.

6) Almond oil for overnight-

Almond is rich in vitamin E, which is very good for skin health. Apply it on eyelids with middle finger. Massage gently with middle finger for 5 minutes. Leave moisturization overnight and wash face in morning. In overnight, moisturization, almond oil go deep into skin and nourish it deeply.

7) Coconut oil for overnight-

Do coconut oil massage on eyelids, just as you do with almond oil, as told above. Coconut oil massage prevent dryness of skin of eyelids.

8) Olive oil for overnight-

Do olive oil massage, just as you do of almond oil. Olive oil is rich in all vital nutrients especially omega 3 fatty acids. Olive oil massage nourish eyelid skin, with all essential vital nutrients.

9) Sleep for 7-8 hours-

Sleep deprivation also cause dark circles around eyes. Human body do repair work in sleep. It needs sleep of 7-8 hours for repairing the cells of body, damaged from wear and tear of day to day routine. Same applies for skin of eyelids and blood vessels in it.
  • Repair of damaged blood vessels and cells of skin of eyelids, needs rest of 7-8 hours of sleep. Therefore, in doing overwork, do not forget to sleep for at least 7-8 hours at night. If you forget, then be prepared for dark circles around eyes.

10) Take less stress-

Stress also reduce the speed of repair work of skin and blood vessels of eyelids. On opposite, it puts strain on them. Slow repair work and excess strain on eyelids muscles, out of stress cause dark circles around eyes.
  • Therefore, do meditation or listen to music, read a book or whatever hobby relives your stress. Stress reduction saves your eyelid skin from dark circles.

11) Correct nutritional deficiency by taking balanced diet-

Dark circles around eyes are also caused due to nutritional deficiency. Iron deficiency, vitamin E deficiency and deficiency of other vital nutrients causes dark circles around eyes. Dark circles caused by nutritional deficiency can be removed, by improving quality of your diet. 
  • That can be done by taking balanced diet, which contains whole grains, fruits and vegetables, curd, milk and less fat. Avoid consuming junk food (fast food), which contains no vital nutrients. Balanced diet will nourish eyelid skin from within and remove dark circles from root.

12) Wear sunglasses, when going outside in summers-

Over exposure to sunlight, also cause skin darkening. That result in dark circles around eyes. Block ultraviolet rays of sun, from reaching skin of eyes, by wearing sunglasses. That is, best way to prevent dark circles around eyes, caused by over exposure to sunlight.
