Permanent erosion of tooth enamel

The high citric acid content of lemon water, can erode tooth enamel, if you drink it in excess amount, on daily basis. 

  • Erosion of tooth enamel, will cause sensitivity to cold and hot food in future.

Tooth sensitivity, tooth cavity and tooth decay

Drinking lemon water in excess amount on daily basis, erodes tooth enamel, increasing risk to tooth cavities. 

  • And, if tooth cavities are already there, then it worsen them. 
  • And, with passage of time, it result in tooth decay, if you keep on drinking lemon water in excess amount on daily basis.

Increased urination

Drinking lemon water in excess amount on daily basis, beyond the required limi have diuretic effect causing increased urination.

Lemon water is acidic in nature. Drinking it in excess amount on daily basis, can irritate the stomach mucous membranes. That irritation further can cause acidity. And, if you already suffer from acidity or gastro-oesohageal reflux disease, then it worsen its symptom too.

Gas in abdomen – 

Drinking lemon water in excess amount on daily basis cause excess intake of fiber. Excess intake of fiber, causes gas in abdomen.

Kidney stones

Lemon contains oxalates. Drinking lemon water in excess amount on daily basis can increase the accumaltion of oxalates in body. That excess amount of oxalates in body, causes formation of calcium oxalate kidney stones in body.
