  • Allergy from golden berries – If you suffer from symptoms of fever, rash vomiting after eating golden berries, then you should not eat them. 
  • Obesity – If you are over weight, then eating them in excess amount increase your body weight even more.
  • Diarrhoea – Fibre present in it, increase frequency of loose stools in diarrhoea patients.   
  • Pain in abdomen – Eating golden berries in excess amount on daily basis can cause pain in abdomen.
  • Gas in abdomen – can occur if you eat it, on daily basis in excess amount.
  • Irregular heart beat or irregular pulse rate – if you eat unripe golden berries in excess amount.

  • Prevents constipation – Fiber present in golden berries helps, in regulating bowel movements.
  • Hydrates the body – through water content present in it. 
  • Vitamin A present in it helps in maintaining good vision.
  • B vitamins present in it, prevents degenerative disorders
  • Vitamin K present in it, helps in blood clotting, preventing excessive haemorrhage during injury.

Golden berries, if eaten in right amount, then it has lot of health benefits. But, if eaten in wrong amount, then it can cause harms too. But, what is right amount to eat?   • Diarrhoea – When you eat golden berries in excess amount, then fiber intake increases. Excess fiber intake causes diarrhoea. 
  • Irregular heart beat and irregular pulse rate – can occur, when you eat unripe golden berries in excess amount. Unripe ones contain a toxin substance solanine, which causes irregular heart rate, irregular pulse rate and difficulty in breathing. 
  • Weight gain – Eating golden berries in excess amount on daily basis can increase per day calorie count consumption. Which can ultimately lead to weight gain.
  • Gas in abdomen – Eating golden berries in excess amount cause bloating.
  • Pain in abdomen – Eating golden berries in excess amount,  are difficult to digest in one go. Which can ultimately lead to pain in abdomen. 
  • Allergy from golden berries – Those who have history of allergy from it, will have symptoms of allergy even after eating small amount of golden berries.
