Cestodes


Cestodes are ribbon shaped worms which inhabit the intestinal tract.
Human acquire them by eating undercooked beef infected with Cpysticercus bovis, undercooked pork or undercooked freshwater fish containing larvae.


Infection from cestodes can be prevented by thoroughly cooking the beef.
