In most populations enterocyte lactase activity declines throughout childhood. In case of primary lactase deficiency, jejunal morphology is normal. Secondary lactase deficiency occurs as a consequence of disorders which damage the jejunal mucosa.
Symptoms-

2. Colicky pain.
3. Abdominal distension.
4. Increased flatus.
5. Diarrhea after ingesting milk.
Investigations-
Lactose hydrogen breath test is recommended.
Treatment-
1. Dietary exclusion of lactose.
2. Add commercial lactase preparations to milk.
This was all about food intolerance. But do you know about- Cestodes
and Cysticercosis
