Non Ulcer Dyspepsia Symptoms


Non ulcer dyspepsia is chronic dyspepsia in the absence of organic disease.


Symptoms-

1. Early satiety.

2. Fullness of abdomen.

3. Bloating.

4. Nausea.

5. Patients are usually young and women are affected twice.

6. Abdominal pain.

7. Pain or nausea may occur on waking.

8. Irritable bowel syndrome.

9. Peptic ulcer disease.


Investigations-

1. Endoscopy.

2. Ultrasound.


Management-

1. The most important elements are explanation and reassurance.

2. Fat less diet.

3. Antacids.

4. Psychotherapy.
