Coarctation of aorta is the narrowing of the orifice of aorta anywhere from distal part of arch of aorta to bifurcation of abdominal aorta. This disease is more common in males.
Symptoms-
2. Congestive heart failure.
3. Infective endocarditis.
4. Haematemesis or melaena.
5. Underdeveloped lower extremities whereas hypertension in upper limbs. Weak and delayed femoral pulses.
6. Prominent neck veins.
7. Ejection systolic murmur or early diastolic murmur.
Investigations-
2. Echocardiography.
3. Angiography.
4. Chest x-ray.
